Our commercial activity began in the mid 1970s to meet the growing need to commercialise our fishing hauls. The Mayorista Pesca del Sur, S.A. and Frío Condal S.A. companies were set up.

The first of these focused its activity on the national market, while Frío Condal S.A. grew to become the most international company of the Amasua Group.

The commercial branch was reinforced with the creation of Krustasur, S.A. in 1988, a specialist company in a range of species, with modern installations situated in Barcelona. In 2001 the Amasua Group culminated its business strategy in the frozen fish and seafood marketing sector by setting up Krustagroup, S.A., a company which has brought Mayorista Pesca del Sur, S.A. and Frío Condal S.A. together in a single company.

Krustagroup launched Grand Krust in 2003, a premium quality brand targeting end consumers who seek the quality and pleasure of the best frozen fish and seafood.

Grand Krust is currently a leading brand in the wild seafood segment, it is marketed in four countries, with a turnover of more than seventeen million Euros and double.figure annual growth rates.

The wild fish and seafood are selected just after they have been caught at sea, and are frozen in the factory ships and processed on board with the latest techniques, with strict quality controls at all times, with the utmost respect for the environment through sustainable fisheries.
