BARENTS SEA

The Barents Sea fishery is managed jointly by Norway and Russia, presented historically maintained production and with high rates od species in theis catch, such as cod, haddock, halibut or cold water shrimp.

In 2002, Amasua Group began the study on the fishing opportunities this offers for the spanish and communitarian market. At present, it has signed exclusive commercial agreements for the production of two modern Russian-flagged trawlers, whose operation has collaborated, designing quality programs that are already fully implemented and the results have been enormously sucessful, bringing its production to the highest standards.

This had led to a differentiation of a product with high added value, with recognition by the market.

 

ARGENTINA

In 1989, Arbumasa S.A. was established and it has become an historic leader in hauls of shrimps in the Gulf of Saint George, and one of the leading companies in the sector. It has 12 shrimp trawlers and 3 factory ships for catching and processing squid.

The company has its headquarters in Buenos Aires and two plants in the cities of Comodoro Rivadavia and Puerto Deseado for fish preservation and processing. The contribution of Arbumasa , S.A. to the economic development of the area of Patagonia has won it various prizzes and awards.

 

MOZAMBIQUE

The presence of the Amasua Group in Africa is mainly concentrated in Mozambique, where we have been established since 1975 through the joint enterprise company Crustáceos de mozambique Ltda. (Krustamoz).

Krustamoz has its headquarters in the city of Quelimane, which is also the base port for its renewed fishing fleet. It aldo has an administrative office in the capital Maputo.

Shallow-water prawns, deep-water shrimps and a variety of pelagic species are the products which Krustamoz catches in the waters of Mozambique.

 

 

MOROCCO

The commercial relationship of the Amasua Group with Morocco has a long tradition, but it was not until 2001 that the process began of establishing the Group there, for the exploitation of resouces in waters which are well known for their richness and variety.

As a result of this process, through the investment company Asmaroc, S.A. a refrigeration fleet with strong growth potential began operating there in 2003.
