Tartlets of crudités and shrimps with cocktail sauce

The aperitifs are an essential element when preparing a menu for a special meal or celebration. With this recipe of tartlets of crudités and shrimps with cocktail sauce, we for sure will impress everybody. The soft texture of the shortcrust pastry, in combination with the seafood flavor of the shrimp and fresh vegetables taste, offers us a delicious and light snack, ideal to provoke an appetite.

Ingredients

FOR 4 PEOPLE

  • 1 pack of shrimps with cocktail sauce 160 g Seafood Combo by Grand Krust,
  • 8 shortcrust pastry tartlets,
  • 8 radishes,
  • 1 ripe tomato,
  • 1 shallot,
  • 8 yellow cherry tomatoes,
  • 1 carrot,
  • orange juice,
  • extra virgin olive oil,
  • salt ,
  • black pepper,
  • parsley

Step by Step

Blanch the shrimps
Blanch in a boiling salted water the shrimps during one minute and put them aside.

Blanch the tomatoes
Put a saucepan with salted water on the fire. Cut tomatoes crosswise and blanch them till the cut begins to enlarge. After that, we cool tomatoes, peel them, remove seeds, cut it into cubes. Put them aside.

Blanch the carrots in orange juice
Put the saucepan with the orange juice on fire. when it starts to boil, blanch the carrots, cut them into small cubes, during one minute. Cool them and put them aside.

Prepare the mix
In a bowl we mix carrots, finely chopped onion and tomato. We spicy it to our taste and add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil.

Fill the tartlets
Fill the tartlets with crudités, put the prawns above and decorate it all with yellow cherry tomatoes and slices of radish.
